Energy Materials

Energy materials group are actively conducting researches to develop the advanced materials to address the energy needs of the 21st century, by combining expertise from a number of research fields such as nanomaterials, polymer, carbon materials including graphene, carbon nanotube, and biomaterials. We believe that novel energy materials potentially provide paradigm-changing solutions to problems related energy issues for leading in the future energy conversion and storage, by improving the performance of fuel cell, secondary battery, photovoltaic devices, and so on. Moreover, we provide the courses designed to gain the fundamental concept and enhance the understanding of the energy materials, focusing on the basic principles of structural, chemical, and physical aspects of polymer, carbon, organic/inorganic materials, and bio/nanomaterials. We also promote the hands-on experiments for students to relate the courses with various research topics in energy materials.
